Chelsea Flower Show 2019

Natural By Design are proud to announce yet another GOLD MEDAL success at the 2019 RHS Chelsea Flower Show. The garden, designed by Mark Gregory, also gained the prestigious Peoples Choice Award.

The Natural By Design walling team was again honoured with the task of sourcing and building the stonework to the 2019 Welcome to Yorkshire show garden, which featured an authentically built canal with flowing water and genuine canal lock gates and a lock keeper’s lodge with a colourful garden and vegetable patch.

The garden was inspired by Yorkshire’s proud history of industry, manufacturing and innovation but also the county’s stunning natural environment and many green spaces.

Our stonework provided an atmospheric build which evoked the very essence of Yorkshire, striking a balance between the industrial and the beautiful, demonstrating that a working lock can also be a place of tranquillity and charm.
