Who We Are
Formerly known as RLC, Natural By Design is now led by Lewyn Diveney-Clegg, a talented landscaper and artisan, and his wife Natalie, an accomplished artist and designer. With the added expertise of Richard Clegg, who has now retired from the company, our team boasts over 76 years of combined experience in a wide range of projects. Lewyn Diveney-Clegg
Director / Founder
With more than 15 years experience in drystone walling and landscaping, lewyn founded Natural By Design upon the former legacy of RLC Drystone walling which he ran with his dad, Richard Clegg. He is an craftsman and artist, and has worked on a plethora of landscaping and walling projects around the country.
Daniel O'Loughlin
Landscaper / Skilled Artisan
Dan has more than 10 years of experience in drystone walling and is continually honing his skills while working on our vast portfolio of projects.
Eryn Diveney-Clegg
Landscaper / Skilled Artisan / Media Manager
Eryn has been walling for the past six years and has ventured into the marketing side of Natural By Design. He uses his skills and dedication to his craft on the walls while working on the promotion and media side of the company.

Lewyn and his team played a big part in the garden we worked on together winning Gold medal, and the award for Best Construction, at the Chelsea Flower Show in 2021. Over the course of 2 weeks, without a day off, and working 12 hour days, nothing was too much trouble and they always went the extra mile. On top of that they were a delight to have in the wider team, mucking in wherever required, always with smiles on their faces. I look forward to working with them all again at the next available opportunity.
Llewyn and his team were key to the success of my RAF Benevolent Fund Garden at Chelsea Flower Show 2022 Using Purbeck stone, the level of detail in the intricate spiral wall was superb. The time scale is alway tight at Chelsea and having craftsmen that can finish the project not only on time but to the highest standards in vital. This was repeated again when the garden was re built at Biggin Hill Airport, a permanent memorial to the young airmen who fought to save their country in the Battle of Britain. It was an absolute pleasure to work with a highly skilled team at the top of their game.
We recently had a wall built to the rear of our property to make our little courtyard more secluded and we’re absolutely blown away by the quality of the work we’ve had done. It’s not “just a wall” it’s a work of art and we still can’t believe how the team have made something so beautiful. Not only was the work amazing but it was an absolute pleasure having Lewyn and the team at our property, they were so polite, very accommodating of our requests and questions and left the place spick and span once the work was done. I’d recommend Natural By Design to anyone.
It was an absolute privilege to have the expert support of Lewyn, Eryn and Daniel team to create the feature wall for our RSPCA garden at the Chelsea Flower Show 2023. It is always a pleasure as a designer to collaborate with such skilled artisans and it is easy to see why the guys are always in such high demand at Chelsea. The beauty of their work was evident and created a great talking point for many photographs and a testament to their stonework and skill” I really do hope to work together again in the future.
Natural by Design were one of four companies that we invited to quote for our garden makeover. We were looking to have old railway sleepers removed and replaced with dry stone walling. In addition, we wanted a wildlife pond with seating area and the relaying of a patio. The repair of an existing boundary wall was also required. When Lewyn visited to look at the job we were impressed by his knowledge and can do attitude. He took away our ideas that Natalie then captured perfectly with a detailed drawing. Once the team arrived to start the job we were very impressed with how hard they worked - these guys don’t stop. Their professionalism, respect and good nature made it easy to have them around. We are delighted with how our new garden now looks, which exceeds our original expectations. Brilliant work carried out by skilled craftsmen. We would highly recommend them.
